Mocoh leadership transition

Mocoh today announces that Guy Hacking will be stepping down as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 January, 2025. Guy will transition to a new leadership role at Mocoh's group parent in order to focus on broader business initiatives and will serve as non-executive Chairman of Mocoh SA.

During Guy's tenure, Mocoh has seen significant growth and development, successfully navigating a rapidly changing market, diversifying its product base, and solidifying its position as a key player in the supply of oil products in Africa. Guy has been instrumental in driving innovation, bringing on-board green initiatives, and leading the growth of the company to approximately 100 employees around the world today.

Olivier Lassagne, currently serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer. Olivier has been with Mocoh for eight years, almost two of which as Deputy CEO. Olivier has worked closely with Guy over the years and brings deep expertise in Africa and a proven track record of leadership and success within the company.

“I am incredibly proud of the change that we have brought to Mocoh over the recent years, and I am confident that under Olivier’s leadership, the company will continue to thrive and prosper,” said Guy Hacking.  “This decision allows me to focus on the broader strategic goals of the group, while leaving Mocoh in the most capable hands.”

Olivier Lassagne expressed enthusiasm about taking on the new role:  “I am honoured to step up into this position and excited to lead Mocoh into its next chapter.  Guy has built an outstanding team and a strong foundation at Mocoh, and I look forward to continuing his success.”

Mocoh thanks Guy Hacking for his dedication and leadership, and looks forward to his continued contributions to the company and the Group.
